Eight vintage glass bell baubles
Eight vintage glass bell baubles
A lovely collection of eight vintage bell shape baubles from the 1950s/1960s.
They measure aprox 7.5cm high.
Made from glass in muted shades of silver, amber, teal, pink and gold, and handpainted with a selection of designs. They have their original hanging loop and surround, and six are complete with their clapper so they tinkle delicately. They have a lovely used patina, they are not perfect, but they're still stunning, even in this timeworn condition. I hope I look as good at this age! Please see photographs for full condition.
These have been wrapped individually in acid-free unbleached tissue, nestled in wood wool and packaged in a sturdy box.
Our packaging is single-use plastic free: anything we have bought is plastic free. However we will also re-use plastic (foam, bubble wrap etc) if it means we can keep it out of landfill and get more use from it.
VINTAGE BAUBLE CARE
Vintage glass baubles are very delicate, but with the right care should give you many more years of joy.
CLEANING
Use a soft dry cloth or soft brush only to gently remove any surface grime. Do not use anything damp or abrasive as this is likely to remove any decoration, revealing the original silvered glass underneath. If your baubles do come into contact with moisture, allow them to dry thoroughly before touching the surface.
STORAGE
Use the acid-free tissue supplied to rewrap your baubles before carefully storing in a box. If you can, use the original packaging or one of our brown boxes. Don’t place heavier items on top of the box.
Store in a cool dry place, and avoid anywhere it gets very hot or very cold. Any dampness or humidity could cause the surface decoration to lift.
