Small Vintage Chinese Lion/Foo Dog Incense Burners

This fantastic pair of mid century Chinese Lions/Foo Dogs incense burners are in great vintage condition.  This pair is a lovely small pair which are superb.  Finished in a high gloss glaze in yellow/treacle they are very striking.  They would make a fantastic gift but even better if you got to keep them yourself.

Fu dogs are mythical lion-like animals that are protectors. Fu dog statues can be found in China flanking the entrances and gates to palaces, official buildings, temples, homes, and even tombs. These guard dogs keep watch and were historically placed to ward off any negative energies.  This pair have been made to take incense which makes them rarer.

Both are in great vintage condition with no chips cracks or crazing please see the images.
